Study Done About Women’s Behinds – Interesting.

Why do women care so much about their appearance that they become insecure about it? Men don’t seem to place the same insecurities on themselves as women seem to do and yet there are studies done to prove this or that.

Here’s one I received the other day:

Luminato Comes to Toronto.

Toronto, Canada – Music, dance, visual arts, film, literature and theatre. All this and more as Toronto brings one of the biggest events of the summer to it’s streets.

Luminato, a festival of the arts, will be invading Toronto from June 1st to June 10th thus bringing “the Arts” to as many people possible, some who may never get a chance to be exposed to it.
The plan is to invade the streets with various “art” depictions, in places you would least expect it.

Billed as:

An annual multi-genre celebration featuring theatre, classical and contemporary music, dance, visual arts, film, literature, and more.
The festival will feature highly acclaimed World Premieres, innovative new work and unexpected collaborations that result in unforgettable creative moments.

Some events are free and some are not but there is something for everyone.

There are Illuminations:

An illuminating series of lectures and dialogues that will provide audiences with up-close access to artists, performers and scholars while shedding added light onto the festival’s key themes. Illuminations Program Curated by Don Shipley.

There are free events, family events, 3600 free films for your viewing. There are lectures with such notables as Glenn Gould, Leonard Cohen, Polish master director Grzegorz Jarzyna, Gore Vidal . All these lectures are reasonably priced if not free.


To help launch the inaugural festival, Luminato will celebrate with a FREE outdoor concert in the heart of downtown Toronto on Friday, June 1st, featuring performances by Canadian songstress Chantal Kreviazuk, Gordie Sampson, Molly Johnson and opened by the Muhtadi International Drummers. This event will take place at the Garden Court, BCE Place and no tickets are required.

Toronto has long awaited the “new ROM” which has had a face lift. There will be a grand unveiling of a Crystal display there June 2nd.

The event promises to bring Torontos best to the world, and the worlds best to Toronto. The streets will be filled with the unexpected so keep your eyes open.

Blue Moon – May 31st

For most of us living here in the Northern Hemisphere, this Thursday May 31st, 2007 will present us with the second full moon of the month. This phenomenon is also referred to as a Blue Moon.

Although never really turning blue, the atmosphere does play its part in whether or not, anything in the sky, actually appears to have colour. Things like forest fires or volcanic eruptions effect the way we see the stars and planets. At this point, the moon can change color to look blue or even purple. At times even the sun can take on a bluish color due to soot and dust particles in the air!
Even two full moons in one month is not really rare as it happens about every 32 months or so. For those living in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia, that same full Moon occurs after midnight, on the calendar date of June 1. So in these regions of world, this will not be second of two full Moons in May, but the first of two full Moons in June. So, if (for example) you live London, you’ll have to wait until June 30 to declare that the Moon is “officially” blue.

So get out your telescope or even your binoculars, put ‘Ol Blue Eyes or That’s Amore your MP3 player and Moostruck in your DVD, grab your sweatie and take a look at the moon. If lucky it may also appear to be blue, either way it is just too cool.

We have all been to those meetings where someone wants more than 100%
Well, here are some calculations that might prove to be useful:
