Much ado about…..

Winterlicious is back.

Here in Toronto, many city restaurants participate in something that we have come to know as Winterlicious, a prix fixe (price fixed) menu made to draw the winter hibernators out of their homes and into their restaurants.

Restaurants participate from January 22 to February 8th 2007 all through and around the city. Now in it’s four year, Winterlicious boasts 130 participants offering great value on this prix fixe menu, lunch is $15 – $20 and dinner is $20 to $35 per person plus taxes and tip.

The idea is a great way to check out a new restaurant or revisit one of your favourites. They often offer three, four or five course meals, that would otherwise cost more than the price fix choices.

Got to type in Winterlicious and the city’s website will show you more goings on during this time frame. Kickoff night is January 26th and Nathan Philips Square will hold several events from 7 pm to 10 pm, all for free. Acts include the “The Philosopher Kings”, a dance and acrobatics show by Italy’s “Kitonb” involving 30 people, and of course skating at the outdoor rink with music hosted by 104.5 Chum FM.

So break out the winter gear, wrap yourself in the flavours of the city and enjoy winter with this excellent opportunity.

Till Next Time….
