Nearly one million people will take in this event that starts tonight and runs through to Sunday evening. Offering food at the many, many vendors, this is a multi-cultural event that is great for the whole family. While the festival centres primarily around Greek food and culture, it is a multicultural event open to all.
KRINOS Taste of the Danforth
This event runs east along Danforth Ave. from Broadview Ave. to Jones Ave. covering several kilometers along it’s route. Danforth Ave will be closed, if it isn’t already, to allow the vendors to “take to the streets” and offer their wares.

August 11th 12 p.m. – 12 a.m.
August 12th 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Good For: Kids, Family
Vendors: Mostly Greek but also offers foods from other cultures as well.
Last year when I attended this event, I ventured down on opening night hoping to “beat the crowds”. This did not quite happen as I was not the only one with the same idea, but I must admit the crowd was lighter than it would be on Saturday or Sunday.
